The Carbon Busters Club (CB Club), founded by Laurel Colless is a global kids climate 101 program. Research shows that when students connect emotionally as well as academically with classroom content they are far more likely to experience deep and long-term learning. CB Club is a climate-science adventure program combining creative expression like storytelling and dramatic arts with science education. CB Club activities have been designed to nurture emotional intelligence in children while still developing their intellectual capabilities.
CB Club has just completed a piloted in Greece in 16 Athens schools (reaching 500 children with multiple visits, funded by Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The Club targets pilot replications in the three largest carbon emitting countries: India, China, the US, as well as in three high climate awareness countries: Finland, New Zealand and the UK.
